Kangaroo is a short film production project founded by Jessica Palmarozza and George Kenwright.
Jessica Palmarozza is a producer born in London to a Dutch mother and an Italian-American father. In 2013, she joined forces with writer/director George Kenwright to form Kangaroo Films. She has produced 6 short films with the collective, including THE THINGS I WILL NOT MISS which was selected by Cardiff International Film Festival and Manchester / London Lift Offs in 2018. YES MASTER is their first feature film. Jessica has also worked on Sally Potter’s award winning comedy THE PARTY, released by Picturehouse in 2017. In 2019, she was an associate producer on Potter’s drama THE ROADS NOT TAKEN, starring Javier Bardem, Elle Fanning, Salma Hayek and Laura Linney. She has also been independently commissioned by the Yale Center for British Art to make a moving-image piece for exhibition in 2021.
George is a writer and director based in London. In 2013 he joined with producer Jessica Palmarozza to form Kangaroo Films, a collective dedicated to creating original short films. He is the writer and director of four shorts: STAY A LITTLE (2013), THE RUN OF THE PLACE (2015), THE PARTY GAME (2016) and THE THINGS I WILL NOT MISS (2017). Earlier this year NIOMI GETS A DOG (2019), a short documentary produced by George, was part of the official selection for the BFI Flare festival. George and Jessica are now embarking on their first feature film, YES, MASTER, a darkly comic thriller set in a world of optimization and disruption. As well as writing and directing his own films, George works as a freelance producer/director on television and commercials.
